Yesterday we saw a high of 96 and today promises to be at least 93. I'm hoping it's not going to be a dry summer. While I don't always like rain, we need it to keep fires from breaking out. We also need it to ward off hurricanes. Hurricane season is coming up, and it's not fun. I'll give you that one. I'm not looking forward to it.

We have a wind advisory just having been issued. Supposed to have rain all weekend. I hope you get a break in the heat in the evening hours.

Here the temperature is 45 C. Last evening the wind was blowing fast and I heard thunders, but it didn't rain.

Heat lightning is a thing, and sometimes produceses thunder. That's likely what it was.

We saw temps in the high 70s yesterday. It was perfect. But of course, the heat's right around the corner, although we have already had some days well into the 80s. The longer I can keep the windows open and the air turned off, the happier I will be.
