The apartment we’re staying at in Athens is more than we could have hoped for. Very well equipped, squeaky clean, large and a bit out of the tourist areas.
Of course I’m very good at choosing all our accommodation while on a trip, and if I got it wrong it would be disastrous and quite miserable.
One fault with this place how and ever is that I was woken at just after 3 am by the ping of an email arriving (I’m a very light sleeper) from the owners of the apartment. They wanted to let me know if I needed anything.
How about some undisturbed sleep?

I guess it didn’t occur to them your devices wouldn’t be silent. I ALWAYS keep my phone on. Also, were they in a different time zone? You’d think they’d be cognizant of the possibility of it disturbing you. However, I am very glad to hear it is so nice.
Did you hear about the Airbnb that when a couple arrived they found a pit bull left behind? A very sweet pit bull they were instructed to give sound baths twice a day, and that had to drink filtered water. They were good sports, and complied, but after informing Airbnb that location is no longer listed.

Pretty does that to me all the time. She wakes me out of a sound sleep to ask if I'm asleep... 
I hope you can go back to sleep quickly. I never can... So I'm on myLot until I get sleepy again. *sigh*

I'm glad you found a good place to stay. That was quite nice of the owners, albeit at an early time.
