Hello everyone. I hope your day is off to a good start. It is 60 degrees F and sunny here at the Jersey Shore. That’s about as warm as it is going to get today.
I’m at work as usual. I’m covering a class. That plus an hour of tutoring is an extra $90 earned today. Not bad. 
I actually almost didn’t make it to work today. My car wouldn’t unlock. I was trying to get the key out of the fob and I couldn’t do it. I was about 10 seconds from melting down when my neighbor came out. He got it opened for me.
What’s everyone else up to today?

It looks like possible tornadoes after all, so I might be heading over to my dad’s. Otherwise, I’m just unpacking, and trying to clean my kitchen with a flashlight. That kitchen overhead light has been out for months. It’s those fluorescent bulbs or I’d do it myself. The last two times my dad kindly bought bulbs and changed them for me. But his calf muscle has not healed from the tear.

Here's a suggestion: bring a table or floor lamp in from the living room. Or, maybe your range hood (if you have one) has a light. Then there's always the oven light. Sometimes I just open the microwave's door if it's too early in the morning for more light.

Hmm... If you go to Walmart, they have some flouresent lights that can be screwed into place and plug into an outlet. I buy and use one of those in the headboard of my bed. I use it a LOT and it has lasted me over 7 years so far. (Go down their light bulb aisle to the end of it. There should be racks of different types of plug-in lights like I'm talking about. I gave about $10 for the one in my headboard.)

You could get a little florescent lantern that runs on batteries if you have no power They don't cost much

Well, it's only 10°C/50°F at 9:15am, so I'm in no hurry to get dressed (although I DO have a matching pair of socks on) and go out there and edge my front lawn. But if the sun does burn off the clouds and things warm up, I just might be doing that.

Good morning... It is 67F and sprinkling in my part of Missouri this morning. We're under a flood watch and The Weather Channel is saying we may have severe winds, large hail and tornados today. (I'd rather not have any of that, thank you.)

I'm glad you finally got your car door open. Tomorrow I have a dentist appointment, Thursday 3rd cousin is coming to help me (yay!) and Friday a contractor is coming to do a bunch of repairs, etc. around the house. I'm still bleeding $$$.
