Field Trip Day - May 19th

Hello everyone, how are you all doing?
Today Eli's 5th grade class all went on a field trip. They drove an hour away to this place near the City of Rocks called Castle Rock State Park.
Up there they were going to go on a 2 mile hike (or how far they can get in 2 hours I guess).
They should be back to the school now, but I won't get to find out how the trip went for an hour and a half. Hopefully he had fun and learned some too.
Did you or or kids get to go on fun field trips in school? I remember going to the craters of the moon national monument and preserve. We also went to the planetarium a few times.
I did go on 2 different choir "tours" to Canada and Denver but those were not really field trips. We had to fundraise and come up with the money for those trips.
If Eli gives us a lot of info about the trip I will have to share...but not sure how much he will.

That's a cool photo. In elementary school the only outings we had were an occasional skating rink visit.

You won't know until you ask. But, yes we had fun field trips. Sometimes getting back late at night.
