Sullivan Ranch Homeowners Association officials in Mount Dora Florida are sending messages to the residents in the neighborhood not to engage in contact with a monkey that has been seen around the retention pond on Tuesday Apri 29.
Hopefully the residents of the neighborhood will heed the warning from the authorities not to feed the monkey or contact the animal for fears of someone getting hurt.
Animal control officials have been contacted in an effort to remove the monkey away from the neighborhood safely.

That is a good question if the monkey escaped from a zoo or ran away from its owner.

That monkey looks friendly enough, I would hand it a banana perhaps through a window just in case,

That sounds like monkey business, and someone, perhaps, with a pet monkey, has allowed it to escape somehow.

I wonder if he could be from a research facility? Or just an invasive species?
