Firefighters rescue four people who were trapped inside of their home

Louisville Kentucky firefighters answered an emergency call on Friday evening May 16 when a tree fell on a home in the Taylor Berry neighborhood when a storm hit the area during the evening hours,
Two adults and two children were rescued by the firefighters as well as from special team members
One of the adults told the firefighters that she is the grandmother of the children. One of the two children who is the youngest children suffered a broken arm
Otherwise none of persons in the home suffered any life threatening injuries.

That happened in my city! (I live in Louisville.) We had an 82 MPH wind gust registered at the airport when that happened. I wish the rest of the night had brought such good news.

Falling trees are big problems in storms, and people should be allowed to cut back large trees too close to their homes. Often, here, they are not allowed to cut down the tree, because the councils heritage list old trees, without realising the inherent danger in doing so, as they make decisions from ivory towers, not from the coalfront.
