Buffalo wings - a flashback

During my US tour I spent a week with my nephew's family in Colorada (Denver) He took me to the Colorado Mountains and there was a restaurant where we had lunch He asked me if I would love to have Buffalo Wings. I eagerly said yes not that I knew what they were but just out of curiosity Here in India Buffalos have no wings I pretended that I knew what they were and told him how tasty they were The picture is the road to the Colorado Mountains which we took. Now the question is why call them Buffalo Wings? Any answers?

I always assumed they were named after Buffalo, New York, where I assumed they first originated.

Buffalo is the name of the sauce..hot and spicy and it is Buffalo is where they were invented..Buffalo NY.

They are called "Buffalo Wings" because the original place from where they were created is a Bar in Buffalo. As a matter of fact "Buffalo Style Wings".
