Happy the sun is out now, it will be probably be cloudy later. Yesterday, I transplanted some seedlings, and the one now seems to be missing. I am guessing one of the resident squirels around here had it as a snack, but I wouldn't think that would be something they would go after. I think I will put some sort of deterant on the other one. I have a terrible time growing things around here due to the animal and insect activity.

Grr,
. Squirrels will dig up garden bulbs and eat those. I guess the squirrel tomato problem is well known. I put some stinky oil around the plant. I have like a bitter apple spray I might use too.

I know that, after struggling to grow things here for years. However, some people make it work. I should be able to as well. I did successfully grow some strawberries one year, and I have done other things that made it, but usually it is like this..something eats them. I might look into getting some netting.

@snowy22315 - The disgusting slugs always ate my lettuce. My cat and the one of the neighbors loved to dig up garlic, but I arrived to grow well the tomatoes, zucchini, strawberries and blackberries.

I have the feeling, I may have killed my other seedling. Hopefully it can be revived. I will look at it more tomorrow.

Good Morning! sun is out here today too but it's chilly. I actually had to put my comforter on my bed in the middle of the night.
Critters do love to feast on plants and seeds, etc.

I'm sorry you have a problem growing things. I don't have any problems growing weeds in the flower bed. The landscaper guy said he would find a safe herbicide and spray the weeds for me. I need to call him because the weeds are taking over the expensive plants we had planted.

Its so frustrating when things are growing and something comes buy and decides to eat it. Here it could be anything.

I am coming to the conclusion they will eat any vegetable matter they can get their paws on. The reason I put them on the deck was so I could keep a closer eye on them. I am lucky he didn't eat both plants. Maybe I will see if I can get some netting or something.
