After a smooth flight out of San Francisco, I was greeted with sweeping aerial views of San Diego as the plane descended—rolling hills, coastal landscapes, and neatly laid neighborhoods beneath the wing. Upon landing, I reunited with my cousin and her parents, and we’re all staying together for the next couple of nights to enjoy some family time and sightseeing. One of our first stops was the Port of San Diego, where we explored the cruise ship terminal and soaked in the sea breeze under the clear California sky. Not far from there, we visited the iconic USS Midway Museum, where the massive aircraft carrier dominates the waterfront. It’s an awe-inspiring place, rich with history and military aircraft perched on its flight deck. The day was filled with light-hearted catchups, shared meals, and spontaneous laughs—a perfect blend of travel, family, and discovery in sunny Southern California. We’re looking forward to more adventures around the city in the coming days.
