Lexington Kentucky resident Holly LaFavers will likely be more careful with the way she allows her family members to use her phone to place orders for lollipops that were sent to her home on Sunday May 4. Holly' son Liam ordered 30 cases of lollipops that were delivered by Amazon even though the delivery driver did not contact Holly about the delivery of the lollipops that were inside of the cases unopened. Holly was able to contact her local bank to inform them that her son used her phone to place the lollipops cases which would have been the price of around $ 4,200 dollars. Holly contacted the local television news stations to inform them about what happened and officials at Amazon agreed to give her a full refund. Holly agreed to give a case of the lollipops to a charity or sell the case to friends and neighbors. I hope that Liam learns a lesson not to use a phone to place orders behind his mother's back. 30 cases? Now that is a bit over the norm. I spend some money on treats but nothing like $4,200 !

That was big news here because it’s close to me. It would seem to me that excessive orders would trigger a notice or email or something. It actually MIGHT, but she might not have it set up. My credit card is set up to notify me of high-ticket purchases (like my insurance payment or the laptop).

Oh dear. That would be the last thing I'd want on my doorstep. I'm glad it all got sorted.

I would also act scared if I had to deal with a huge order myself.

I sure wouldn't let Liam near my phone, even though I do like lollipops. I might not have had enough money on my card for Liam to have placed the order.
