Thanks to the actions of campers who saw a cub crying alone in the woods in California on Saturday April 12 in Los Padres National Forest who was less than two months of age.
The campers contacted officials with the California Department of Wildlife (CDW) who decided to wait to see if the mother of the cub would reunite with the cub which never happened.
The officials with the CDW decided to take the cub to the San Diego Humane Society's Ramona Wildlife Center where the employees dressed as bears are raising the cub back to health.
The cub will be released into the woods in about one year.

I find it weird that the rescue people dress as bears. Surely the cub can smell a real bear! Aside that, I´m glad that they took care of it.

@Deepizzaguy I know about dogs and they have a bigger sense of smell than human beings. They would not accept a costume.

I found odd myself that humans dress in bear costumes raising a cub.

That is such a nice story, so glad they are caring for the cub like that. I never knew they dressed up like a wild animal though to rescue these babies, and get them ready to go out in the wild, that is really cool!

They really dress as bears? I heard they do weird things to make sure wild animals can get back to the wild with no loss to their survival abilities, but never knew they went that far. I hope the best for the little guy.

I also hope that the cub will have a fun life as an adult.

It is odd since it takes a lot of courage to take care of a cub.
