I am supposed to post this yesterday. Yesterday, we got vaccinated by flu and pneumonia vaccine. We avail of the promo package offered by the pharmacy rather than going to our doctor. The doctor's price is triple the amount offered. Maybe that is why I feel sleepy yesterday. But other than that we are all good.

I get a flu and pneumonia shot every year, usually around October or November. Thankfully, so far those vaccines seem to be doing their job, as I haven't gotten sick since way back when Covid hit.

That is great. Flu shot here is done every year but the pneumonia shot is every 5 years

@rakski Maybe the pneumonia shot is every 5 years here too. I'm not sure, I just go in and get whatever shot they tell me I need. I don't ask questions. Maybe I should pay more attention!

The flu and pneumonia vaccine are covered by my health insurance, but I haven’t gotten them in years. I only got the flu during the years I DID get the flu the years I got vaccinated. But I think that was coincidence.. I’m so glad you got yours though.

That is great that you got it covered with your health insurance. Vaccines are not covered by hmo here.

@DaddyEvil Well, if you said it I guess I can say it. I thought maybe I had to be wrong and it must be coincidence, but I felt the flu vaccine gave me the flu too. I was assured it was coincidence, but no way was I going to keep getting the vaccine. And like you, I stopped getting the flu. A nurse once told me the flu vaccine could occasionally cause the flu, and the doctor quickly chastised her that that was not true. It really made me wonder.

@DaddyEvil okay. well, there is that possibility always. We never know if those doctors tell the truth or not. We used to get flu vaccines at the pharmacy even when the kids were young, now the it is restricted to 18 and above because according to pediatricians, they will not earn if the younger ones are vaccinated at the pharmacies.

You didn't hold my nieces and nephews down for shots, did you? I'm glad you're all protected from those now.

@rakski Pretty refused to be held still for shots... She always insisted she was a big girl.

We have had some immunisations done at the chemist too. Some of ours are free which is also good.

I heard that COVID has just appeared again and it is classified as a combination of 3 viruses, especially since I no longer wear a mask but I still wash my hands frequently.
