Echoes of LA: Days I Won’t Forget

We booked an Airbnb and spent unforgettable days with cousins who came all the way from Chicago and Colorado to celebrate our auntie’s birthday last Friday night. It turned into a fun, rowdy, and noisy reunion—the best kind. Our cousins took the lead in showing us around the city, and we got to visit some of LA’s iconic spots: the Griffith Observatory, the Hollywood sign, and the Walk of Fame in downtown. We also spent a breezy afternoon watching the waves at Huntington Beach, soaking in that classic SoCal vibe. Later that evening, we dropped by another cousin’s place nearby for dinner—and what was supposed to be a simple meal turned into a full-on karaoke night that lasted until the early hours. Lots of singing, laughter, and memories shared. It was more than just a trip. It was family, connection, and joy—all set against the vibrant backdrop of LA. These are the kind of days that leave echoes.

It was a time to show our love and appreciation for our only living aunt. Everybody from different parts of US made effort to go to her place and we from the philippines made an effort as well.
