Yet another southern state now wants to require the Ten Commandments to be displayed in classrooms

Disgusting. And the best part is that Texas wants them to be displayed in English only. Gross. Um there are other religions than Christianity and there is a separation of church and state. Religion has no business in public schools. Maybe encourage students to actually read their textbooks and learn subject matter. It would be great if people with graduate degrees knew the difference between the words convergent and divergent. I don't think any school kid is worrying about coveting their neighbor's wife. It is horrific that the courts are allowing this crap to go on. But hey that is another example of why red states are always at the bottom of state education rankings.

As far as school kids are concerned this makes absolutely no sense at all,

I went to Catholic school and we didn't have the ten commandments displayed anywhere.

And yet they totally ignore the Sabbath commandment. Go figure.

I've just about given up being surprised at what goes on in schools.

I could see that in a Catholic school but nowhere else.
