I have a bunch of old wheat pennies (the ones dated 1958 or earlier with wheat on the tails side instead of the Lincoln Memorial). Guess they’ll be worth something soon.
I look for people to hoard them to make them rare and worth something. That’s sad, because they cost more than they’re worth to manufacture, but people are going to be people.

I collect any wheat pennies that I find. It costs more than a penny to make a penny; so they should do away with them.

I don't use pennies for anything and always turned them in when I got a bunch of them.
I do keep any wheat pennies I come across and have two of the pennies with Lincoln's tie double-stamped. Those are supposedly worth $400 each.
One of these days the wheat pennies might be worth money, too. (I've got about a cup full of them.)

I'd actually like to see the penny stay and think it still has a purpose and value in the economy. Either way, regardless of my thoughts, it won't matter. It's ending production in 2026 and that's that. Of course, we will still be able to use them and they will remain in circulation for many decades after they stop making them.
