You can call me stingy or a miser. But a person with his wallet empty can't help being one.
My old motorcycle ( about 18 years Bajaj Platina) was making funny noises " thik thik grrr dapp!" When I passed through the market area near the road junction bystanders looked at me with strange glances. I knew it was the chain which was hitting the chain guard. I tried to tighten the chain more than once but the noises continued with stubborn vengeance.
Yesterday, on my way back from the church I stopped at the motorcycle parts shop to enquire how much a set of chain sprocket would cost. Rs 1170 ( Indian rupees) the man replied and Rs 150 fitting charges if done at his garage. I didn't have the money so I returned home. Today the good wifey gave me enough money and sent me to the garage to get the repair done. It must be done, she said, because we need the bike as our first transport . That's quite true. And so straight I went to the motorcycle garage and got the needful done.
The bike is now silent and gliding smoothly. And the rider is smiling happily. No one is watching him with queer glances .

I'm glad you were able to get the repairs done. I'm sure the bike is really quite essential for you and your family.
