At Least There is Some Grace and Class Left in This Country and the Youth Seem to Have it

I am so happy to hear that these youth have taken this stance, but I hate to see the backlash they are receiving because of it. An NYU student, Logan Rozos, bravely took to the podium on his graduation day. He chose to speak out about the genocide going on in Palestine. About it being supported both politically and militarily by the United States. You could tell he was nervous, but he spoke clearly about the atrocities and horror going on. You would think that such an esteemed institution would value his heartfelt and moving message, but instead, this place of higher learning chose to withhold his diploma. That's not the only story of youth in this country recently. Even high school students are speaking out. In Maine, a 15-year-old runner, Anelise Feldman, after a recent race, responded to a Republican state representative, Laurne Libby's public attack after the runner came in second. Feldman wrote a letter to Libby saying, "I don't feel like first place was taken from me. Instead, I feel like a happy day was turned ugly by a bully who is using children to make political points." Hurray! I am glad to see that young people are smarter than many adults seem to be. They seem to have a grasp on what class and dignity are all about.

Good for those young people. It wouldn't have been easy for them to do what they did.

No, not at all. I am glad they are strong in their convictions at such young ages.
