Most horse riders don’t do this.

Driving on the incorrect side of the road is difficult enough, but throw in an idiot horse rider and it could spell disaster. On a country road yesterday I came round a bend and about 50 yards in front of me (metres since we are in France) behold the hind quarters of a horse. I slowed down not wanting to spook the horse and cause mayhem and injury, and, with caution and circumspection, approached, giving horse and rider as wide a berth as possible. But the horse kept wandering this way and that making things quite impossible. The rider had her hatted head lowered and didn’t appear to notice me. When I eventually manoeuvred my way alongside the hefty beast I saw what the problem was and it wasn’t the horse. The young girl riding the horse had her head and both hands involved in texting on her phone. Idiot.

That is so stupid. Too many people have lost their intelligence when it comes to cell phones. I'll stick with my basic flip phone.

@MarieCoyle My flip phone has a camera; but the pictures are not good; and I don't know how to get them transferred.

@LindaOHio I haven't had a flip phone for...many years now. I have no idea how to do the pictures on them. I remember mine was a nice flip phone, but it took terrible pictures.

One thing I have to say about a smart phone is that for me, mine takes wonderful pictures!! I was such a camera klutz. But when my older son bought my iPhone without my knowledge, I fought him on that for a time. However, it just takes wonderful pictures!

@garymarsh6 Didn’t want to get into any argy-bargy with a horsey French woman. Now I’m wondering if argy-bargy is hyphenated in real life.
