Age is just a number! What do you think?

MY knees can sometimes become weak, and I may have difficulty standing up from a kneeling position, but I still feel young at heart: Imagining how I can paint the world with my future escapades and events with my loved ones. I still feel the thrill when I witness young people falling in love. I get to cry too when watching a sad movie, like a teenager. What about you? Do you believe that age is just a number?

I agree that we can stay young at heart, but sadly age is not just a number.

@Jenaisle - I am 75 and I know that my body is not the same I had when I was 35, 45, 55 and even 65. It's ridiculous to deny the evidence.

It's not how you look, or how mobile you are, or how old you are. It's the state of your heart and mind that matter. In my head, I'm not getting older--I'm getting better. I've learned a lot in my life walk, and hope to continue to be eager to learn more as time moves on. I feel it's all about how you look at life, if you want to be old, you will be. Your body may fail. That doesn't mean the rest of you will--it can, of course, but let's celebrate what works!

WOW! Marie, you always enlighten me with some wisdom for people. Indeed, it's the mind and the heart which can lead you to a better place. Thank you for these encouraging words. I always look forward to your replies. I will remember, "If I want to be old, I will be." Hence, I should start thinking young.

@Jenaisle You're a sweetie to say that...it's just how I feel. I just try to concentrate very hard on the positive--that doesn't mean I ignore the negative, but I try hard to not dwell on it. Think positive, stay as active as possible, keep the brain working, we only walk this path one time. None of us know how long that path will be, or when it will end. So we need to make the most of it!

I totally agree with you. Today I already don't pay attention to my age. I am still itnerested in many things. I still have a passion. I still have a child at heart

In fact, the older you get, the less your nutrient absorption will be.

I think age is not just a number. Because we can't repeat what has passed. And there is one "disease" that can't be cured, namely "old"

Oh yes, age is just a number. My lovely Mom was 87 a few days ago and if i knocked ten years off that you would still question it. She is still very active both at home and out and about. She has a very youthful outlook on life
