Peppie wants only fish

Ever since that basket episode Peppie has changed his eating habits. He perhaps got fish for his 3 meals when he had run away from here. He is back now and keeps asking for fish I give him fish once in the morning and then he has to have curds and the chicken dry feed. That dry feed is loaded with vitamins, proteins and stuff. Peppie has lost a lot of weight but is very active. He possibly cannot put on weight just by eating fish. I am not going to give in to his likes

Cats are reluctant to eat what we want that they eat. Let's hope he will start eating also curd and chicken feet.

He is given curds and chicken dry feed This dry feed is loaded with nutrients. He used to relish it before but now after staying away he does not like it any more.

@allknowing - My cat Gevi did the same for a while. A refused dry feed for several weeks, later he refused wet feed and wanted again dry feed. Cats are picky.

You keep a tank of fish just to feed the cat?

It sounds like Peppie’s little adventure really left an impression on him—fish for every meal must’ve felt like a feast! It’s great that he’s back home and safe, and it’s completely understandable that you’re mindful of giving him a balanced diet. It’s good to hear he’s still active, even if he’s lost some weight. That dry chicken feed with added nutrients sounds like a smart choice to support his overall health. Fish might be his favorite now, but as you said, it’s not enough on its own to help him regain strength or maintain a balanced diet. Sticking to what’s best for him, even if he begs for more fish, shows just how much you care. Hopefully, over time, he’ll settle back into his old routine (or at least stop giving you the fishy guilt trips!). Have you noticed any changes in his behavior aside from the food preferences?

He lets me cuddle him cuddle him for a few minutes Earlier it was just a few seconds although he always chooses to snooze where I normally sit. I find him quite normal otherwise and hope he will get back to his earlier diet which will add some weight and energy. Thank you
