A bear that was seen running loose on the streets of Heber City Utah on Saturday near a swimming pool at an apartment complex caused the residents so saw the bear to contact the Heber City Police Department who with the help of officials of the Utah Department Of Natural Resources (DNR) used a tranquilizer gun to capture the bear who was treed by the police officers.
The officers of the DNR moved the unconscious bear away from a gasoline station to a mountain area on Sunday evening away from a populated area.
Thank goodness no one was hurt in the incident in Utah.

Do they attack people? Or is it just their self-defense or instinct when they are afraid?

@Deepizzaguy, so when you see one, you better not move or not to walk towards them?
I hope they will not run after humans.

Bears attack humans when humans attack them first most of the time.

I'm glad no one was injured. We had a bear sighting a couple of weeks ago. Very unusual for this area.

I would not mess around with a bear myself.

It was good that the bear could be moved out of that area close to the public to somewhere further away. It appears that people do encroach on the bear's space by building houses too close to their territory too. The poor bear, is pushed further up the mountains as a result.

That is what many animal control officials are saying that animals will take over our cities if we chase them out of their lands.
