This internet thingy is just great. It has many down sides but right now it feels great being able to organise the renewal of my car insurance while xertzing a very cold locally brewed beer in a walled garden in Bayeux. It’s a garden full of sunshine, flowers and quietness.
Of course the internet way of doing things can be infuriating. I started my quest for insurance as number 17 in the queue to be attended to but eventually arrived at number one, and am amazed that I didn’t hang up by the time I was down to number 10.
Does conducting your affairs on the internet thrill or irritate you?

Wasn't Onecall was it?
I went on and was number 14 in the queue yesterday.
I fairly got some posting done when I was on hold

@ineeddentures Onecall it was. They’re quite hard nosed about letting you take your business elsewhere.

Yes indeed they are
I must check my customer portal yet again and see if my much reduced quote is " pending renewal. "
To be fair I have 3 bike policies with them and it's been plain sailing apart from a renewal quote being 50% higher than last year's premium for the same service
When I queried it it went for £95 down to £55 last year it was £65.

Automated phone lines irritate me more than the internet. Without the internet I would not have all the friends I have here on MyLot!!!

Doing things online irritates me. I'd rather call and be placed on hold while waiting for a real person to answer my call and help me.
