What on Earth is Breakfast Sauce?

This was one of the condiments in our table at the airport restaurant this morning I can’t imagine what it is. Sweet? Savory? Bbq sauce? Do any of my English people know what this is?

@looeyville Although not English, I’d hazard a guess that it’s a take on HP sauce, all full of salt, sugar, fat and colouring. Yuck.

I am English, but I’ve never heard of this sauce. However, I agree with Fiacre, it sounds like a take on HP sauce. Brown and tangy. I’ve got some in my store cupboard. Never been out for years.

I see Taxi Lady has an answer. It looks like BBQ sauce.

I’m torn between thinking it’s something sweet like brown sauce or maybe a tangy BBQ-style condiment

Taxi Lady’s description makes sense…something like a marmalade/jam sauce.

Ah yes It's a TRG special lol - TRG are a company who operate cafes at some airports in the UK. Created specially by an executive called Wilson Hartles to be served up with Breakfast. It should be ok on bacon and eggs.
