Qatar didn't offer Trump a 747 luxury jet--he demanded it

Of course the Trump administration framed receiving a 747 jet to be used as Air Force One while waiting for the 2 new ones to be finished as a wonderful gift from Qatar that he "would be stupid" to refuse. Nevermind the fact that there are always 2 of the same jets used/named as Air Force One when the POTUS is on board. This would be just 1. And I'd love to see what DOGE would think about the fact that it would take $1.5 billion and years to upgrade it with security, communications, etc. systems required. Um the 2 Boeings already in production would be done by then. Interestingly after the Pentagon said that it had accepted the 747-8 jet from Qatar as a "gift" the country came out and said that's not quite how it happened. The Trump administration approached them and asked for it. They now won't finalize the transfer unless Trump admits that he begged for it and put it in writing. HAHAHA that is never going to happen so that jet is never going to be in consideration for Air Force One. Hey let Trump use his busted up Trump Force One and pay to upgrade it himself if he is so impatient for a new plane.
