While on the road my SIL mentioned sightings of monkeys on the roadside where we are traveling. I confirmed it to her as I have seen it years ago (college years) when we went at my friends house for a project and she toured us and were able to see those monkeys. But we were not lucky to see some going to the resort.
Lucky we are when going home, we saw a family of four, two babies and the parents (I assumed they are
). They were just on the roadside waiting for people to give food.
They live in the mountains/jungle there. I'm happy they saw them too.

@Shivram59 Since the monkeys have learned to sit along the road, it's just as likely that people driving along the road have been feeding them.

Near the outskirts of my town there is a school. There are hundreds of monkeys. They often come near my home and then go away

The important part of my reply, I feel, is that I hope the poor chaps got food from someone. After all, they are our ancestors, isn't it?
It's always thrilling and exciting thing to spot monkeys like this. I am also very excited to see them when I am out travelling in such parts where I am likely to spot them.

@rakski Ohhhh really? In that case then they might not be having any scarcity of food. Good for them

They are fine as long as they do not enter homes. We had a baby monkey that romaed around here and visiting our property but he stayed out. We all miss him now

We have many monkeys out here... last time I saw them at my campus, where they were chasing one particular monkey from their group. Don't know what has gone wrong with them... were they out casting him/her or he / she being cruel to them

We love in a small city and there's no monkey here. Unlike long time ago, some residents had monkey for their pet which tied on a drift wood in front of their house.

Omg that's awesome
Monkeys begging for food at the side of the road.
We don't have monkeys here but if we did I would give them food.

Aye they must be quite clever to be able to identify a good source and not have to work too hard to get the food

That's nice. I hope they have enough bananas. Though I am scared of them, I still just hate monkeys being hurt by people by catching them stealing bananas.
