I did take the colonoscopy prep. It was nasty. I mixed it with Ginger Ale to see if that will help with not throwing up. I drank it through a straw which helped alot. Last Wednesday I had it done and he said they didn't see any polyps. I go for a follow up in two weeks.

@Mshafeeq Doctors here recommend it when you turn 45. I turned 45 back in February. I don't know my father's side of the family. I also don't know my grandfather's side of the family. So I don't know if any of them had a history of colon cancer.

I’m supposed to start getting them next year, and I really hope I can keep it down.

@AmbiePam I did the low volume prep which is a split doses of little bottles. I know I wouldn't have been able to do the gallon of stuff.

I've had one colonoscopy and hope I never do another one. I've pooped in a box and sent it in twice and, while that's disgusting, it's much better than having a tube put up my bottom. I'm glad they didn't find any problems during your test.

Thankfully, so far I haven't had to have a colonoscopy. My husband has had several and says the preparation is the worst part.

I'm glad you didn't have any polyps. I refuse to take a colonoscopy. The prep makes me sick. I have a Cologuard I need to do and send back.
