BBC - British Bias Centre

I lived about 9 miles from Kingston. I rode towards it on a bright and quiet day, stopping at a plaza for a time, then going two miles closer to town. Nothing was happening, people were talking, shopping, average day.
When I got home I turned on the BBC and heard about how Jamaica was in turmoil, soldiers and police and shootings, on and on, making it seem the whole island was a war zone.
Later, watching the local news, I learned that there had been a situation in Tivoli Gardens. This in a small enclosed community about a mile west of Kingston.
What stunned me was that I had always trusted 'the World's Radio Station' (as it calls itself). The BBC was shrieking about the unrest when there was nothing going on outside of that one enclosed community.
Just imagine a demonstration in a small neighbourhood in New York and the BBC reporting it as if America was in turmoil.
From that day, over fifteen years ago, I have been very cautious in what I hear on the BBC. I have picked up a great deal of bias, of small things being blown out of proportion.
I post this to alert that what you hear about Israel on the BBC is never the whole story, for the BBC is rather anti-Israel.
Always check other sources.

Blowing things out of proportion is what makes "news" and earns those reporters their salary.

@DaddyEvil and even if you are an eye witness and post...you will be attacked by those who know nothing because they are inspired by such news services and influencers

The BBC is not Anti Israel.
I watch.the BBC News twice every day and I can assure you that they have NEVER been biased against Israel.
I did see though some commentary about the BBC being Anti Semitic because they were critical of the Israeli Government and it's actions in Gaza.
BBC Verify is one of the most trusted sources in World Media

@Ineeddentures I listened to the BBC from 1968 when we picked it up on shortwave. It was not the way it is today. You can pray to it. Many people do until they catch the bias..in fact... the only time the BBC backed off was when their own correspondent, Alan Johnston was kidnapped Gaza in 2007..

Really makes one wonder about newscasting. We need them, and they need to be good reporters. Drama is for TV shows.

Nowadays news are not reliable anymore... the listener have to cross check the reported issues..
Many of the news were like who can exaggerate the small situation as bigger situation and create disturbance among the public
