More Idiocy Closer to Home

Boise, the capital of Idaho, is being identified by the Department of Homeland Security as a sanctuary city for illegal aliens. I have lived in Boise for 73 and 1/2 years now and have been able to keep away from the white supremacists who lived in Northern Idaho until just a few years ago when the law was finally able to get rid of them. But not this. Idaho is a very red state. I thought this fact might even protect my family if the worst came to the worst. My grandparents were Republicans. I never agreed with much of it. I hope that ICE will stay away, but it doesn't look like it. The mayor is not adhering to certain new flag-waving laws. (She wouldn't take down the Pride flag) This is hurting Boise big time, it seems. And, supporting immigrants and refugees is making Trump's administration deem Boise as a "Welcoming city," even though Idaho state law prohibits jurisdictions from establishing sanctuary city policies. So this is just more of Trump's idiocy, and one more way to drive my anxiety level through the roof.
