It's Raining, It's Pouring.

Since it was 2 in the afternoon, it has been 3 hours now. The rain was a bit heavy, but so far, no leaks inside the house, which is good. There is no need to water the plants now. I am thinking now of what to cook for our dinner. My body feels like going to bed early tonight. And it is also a holiday here today. It is a Muslim holiday that means a long weekend for us here. What is your breakfast/lunch/dinner?

Do you know the kid's song that goes "It's raining, it's pouring, the old man is snoring"? Does that make you the old man? I'll probably eat a breakfast sandwich again. I don't feel like getting up and actually cooking this morning so I'll just microwave something this morning. (It's not time to take my morning meds yet. It's 4:48 am in my part of the US. We have heavy cloud cover but no rain yet. The rain is supposed to start around 6:30 am and pour until around 11 am today. Then start raining again in the afternoon. I hope you all enjoy your long weekend.

@rakski I'm sweet, innocent and YOUNG! It is storming now. I opened the curtains on one bedroom window so I could watch the lightning flash and the rain pour down. I love watching storms.

There was a slight change in the temperature because of the rain. It's also good to have a long weekend. But it doesn't mean I could rest all day long because I have to prepare for various activities we have in the coming weeks. June is full of activities because it is the last month of the semester and the second quarter. There are targets that we need to accomplish. Having a holiday means I can work in advance. Have a great day!

It's been raining here for hours and hours, but it hasn't been a steady rain. It's been off and on. I didn't know the Philippines celebrated Muslim holidays. Isn't the country still predominantly Christian?

Yes, we have Muslims brothers here too. The government recognizes now their holidays as well Chinese New Year as we have a lot of Chinese fellowmen too

Oh, that was why when I went out this evening, there was no traffic jam because of the Muslim holiday. . It showered a little bit here, but that's it. This lowered the temperature. The colder temperatures are now starting. Have a fun weekend.
