Going to see a play tomorrow. It’s called The Picture of Dorian Gray. There is only one actor in the play and she portrays all the characters. That sounds interesting. Not sure if I’ve ever seen a play with only one actor.
Before the show my mom and I will have brunch. I picked Meme Mediterranean. I’ve been there before with hubby but for dinner. We liked it there so hopefully the brunch will be good as well.
The show is at 2pm. I made a reservation for 11:30am. That gives us enough time to eat and get to the theater and go to the bathroom before it starts.
The commute is fairly long. My maps app says it’s close to two hours. I’m thinking taking a 10am ferry. That means I will be in Manhattan by 10:30am, which leaves me an hour to get to the restaurant. To catch the 10am ferry means I need the 9:22am train. I need to leave the house around 8:50am to make it to that train. I hope it will show up on time. Lately, sometimes that hasn’t been the case.
I’m really looking forward to tomorrow’s outing. Especially since I’ve been home for days.

According to the internet she plays 26 characters in the play.
She was spectacular. Don’t know how she does eight shows a week.

@grenery8 The actor is Sarah Snook. The main character she plays is a male. Others she plays are either male or female.

I’ve heard that Sarah Snook is outstanding in that play. Doing 26 different roles, she HAS to be!! (She’s nominated for a Tony for it, and the Tony Awards will be Sunday.)
All of that aside, I hope you have an absolutely WONDERFUL time with your mom at brunch and at the play. And I hope your transportation is all on time!!

She is phenomenal in the play. What a talent! I don’t know how she does every night, especially when there are two shows in one day.

Let us know how it was. I know a little bit about the story. That's quite a commute.

Gosh, you've really had to plan the commute. That will be a long day for you both.

It wasn’t that bad. Aside from the walk to the train for me the other transfers didn’t require a lot of walking.
