Being an animal lover I just cannot bear when I know someone is hitting an animal I have a neighbour who does that to their puppy. Yesterday I was out in the garden and I heard that cry and she was there. I expressed my feelings and in response she said that the puppy runs with the footwear and chews it I told her that there are way to discourage the poor thing from doing it Just a bit of a noise each time she sees that puppy doing it will make it stop doing it. I took a promise from her. Yesterday I did not hear the puppy's cry. Hope she keeps her promise

Let's hope she understand that hitting an animal is just not right.

I pleased that she does not hurt that puppy. My pleading may have helped

@LadyDuck Preiti was famous for collecting water mugs that she found in the garden that we used to collect water from taps She would hide them and we only found them when they were fully chewed

@allknowing That is a good sign, unless she dumped the puppy somewhere and left it.

It was brave of you to tell her off, and it was gracious of her to accept your advice. I don't hurt my cat too, but sometimes I have to grab her and throw her because she keeps coming onto the table to grab our food. I know she won't get hurt because she is so agile in landing on her feet.

Here in Illinois that would be considered a felony, punishable by a fine and jail time.
