The New Gardener is a grafter

Well, the new gardener came today for the first time. He was here for three hours and did weeding and the cutting and shaping of several hedges and shrubs.
My Mom was very impressed with him and his work. He will be coming again next month ...date to be arranged.
We had been trying to find a gardener for a few months and had almost given up hope .... we found ' Tom ' by chance. Thank goodness we did.

£20 an hour but gave a price just for cutting back...no matter how long it took

My mate got charged £20 just to have his little patch of grass cut
I called him expletives for not offering me the money to do it

@Ineeddentures we think its good value and he is a good hard worker. Rod does the lawn and some weeding but its tricky as he works away all week and also has our garden to do at the weekend. Mom has a huge garden.

That's great that the gardener did a good job. Some would take advantage of an old lady and slacken off a bit perhaps.
