Don't trust Walmart Auto care

So, part of the reason I was in a bad mood on Friday was because I had taken my car to get an oil change at Walmart, even though I didn't really think it needed to be done, I wanted to get the fluids checked etc. in prep for my trip. One thing he told me which turned out to be totally bogus was that the tires were dry rotted. The tires always looked good to me, but of course I am not an expert. Anyway, I was thinking I was going to have to be getting tires, which as we all know is not cheap. I had some mechanics look at them today..and they said they look fine. Walmart also mentioned something about an oil issue, I feel like I should get that checked before I go up to PA, and if it turns out fine..I ought to try sending them a bill..., They should not be allowed to make judgments on things they know nothing about.

That’s pathetic. Are you going to call the people in charge of that department to call them out, or do you think it’s not worth it?

Not sure, the guy was nice otherwise. I know one guy there was loudly complaining about the tires he had purchased there. I am not at all pleased with their work there..but I seriously doubt I am the only one.

Always good to get a second opinion...especially if you are not sure what you are being told is correct.

That's really rude that they'd do that. I guess they were just trying to get more business. Instead, they've probably lost yours.

I found a good mechanic outside of the city, literally at a cross road in the country, that is honest and trustworthy. I wish that you could find one such as George. He cleared the code on my car more than once for no cost.

They were trying to scam you. They surely get a commission on what they arrive to sell.

My husband was told by Toyota that his tires were dry rotted. I don't know if they were. The Scion is sold now; so I don't have to worry about that anymore.
