I woke in the early hours this rainy morning from a very bizarre dream in which I had experienced two very productive episodes of explosive diarrhoea. The dream was so vivid that when I woke I was a bit reluctant to check if something had actually occurred- it hadn’t. I feel perfectly fine in the bowel department so I don’t know why I should have been thusly troubled. But that wasn’t the only weird detail of my dream. During my visit to the downstairs bathroom (even though we live in a bungalow and have neither upstairs nor downstairs) an actor from an Australian TV series called in to see me. It was well past midnight and the actor wasn’t playing his TV character, he was just himself and I didn’t really warm to him. We chatted for a while in the bathroom and then he faded out. To top it all off, I was somehow simultaneously at a concert in San Remo where Loredana Bertè was singing. This detail I understand, because we’ve been watching an Italian Netflix series, “Tutto Chiede Salvezza“ and in the final episode Loredana is heard singing “Non sono una signora” in the background. All in all it was a very busy night, one in which it was difficult to keep track of all the action. So I’m exhausted, but at least I don’t have diarrhoea.
