Rather, he seems to have started thinking like I.. ...imagine...
America has hopes of being a rich and powerful nation for my lifetime. LOL
Seriously, immigrants should not raise issues related to something happening back home. Nor issues related to religion.
I come to your house, because I need something from you. I stay over. And then I start expecting you to do something about my home....repair or whatever. That would be sooooo...demanding...the nerve.... I need to stick to my business..otherwise that license or invitation to stay at your place would not have been there, would it?
Definitely no disruptions...that is so ungrateful...good reasons to pack me back.

And I am not a blond....I came to that conclusion...imagine..
Disruptions are costly. The loss of working hours...and then organizing additional security ... you bet it is unexpected.
Many people who migrate to the US know the same work will not fetch them enough for two square meals back home. Many also know they entered the country illegally.
Then demanding that their language be accommodated...that is not fair...they need to learn the local language.
My cousin is spending time learning Spanish....because she is a physician and needs to understand what the patient is saying.

Most of the immigrants here in California work hard and contribute to the economy. Many Indians here work in tech. Others work at gas station and liquor stores. Our Mexicans are often the ones you'll see picking our crops or working on someone's roof. Middle Easterners often work in tech. When my ancestors were immigrants, they wound up in ranching and farming. Gold mining too. It was a different era.

I explained long ago, that when I immigrate, I need to contribute. I come to your house, short stay is different...a day or two....it can be ignored. I stay for a month, I need to pay for food, utilities, conveyance etc. That is courtesy. It goes without saying. I come to your world as immigrant, I need to pay for the facilities you are offering. Not look for free lunch.....I told you, I am different....I do not like being obliged. That is why I don't understand those who are happy taking food stamps not contributing to that country...that seems cheeky to me. Work for a couple of generations without those, then yes, there is some justification.

@TheHorse That is not ok, is it? If you are not working, and contributing to national kitty, why would you be entitled to free meal? I don't like the thought of my taxes being spent like that. I work hard ..really hard ...to get that money...and pay those taxes. I don't want it to be given to somebody who is just an idler, or somebody who just keeps on having kids, because there is incentive for that.
I think every citizen should be entitled to 20 or 25 years of food stamps only. It is up to the person to use them when need be....because we can never say when misfortune strikes.
Ideally, it should be used when the person is too old to work, and does not have enough money.
Or when he or she loses a job unexpectedly.
Or when a calamity like tornado unsettles finances some. Or if some health issue crops up and the person is forced to leave job and become caregiver. Situations like that.
People will use those stamps sparingly if there is overall limit, because they would not be sure of their future.
Likewise, people would not depend on others to help them. Need to be independent for personal need would surface.
As long as governments are giving help, it is the taxpayer who is facing injustice.
