When I was about 10 I was living in Pocatello, Idaho. My mom had remarried and he had a son who was 5 years older than me. We would watch TV in family room downstairs. At that time there were 2 local television stations and one (channel 8) that was just cartoons and scary movies. We were watching one particular scary movie one night entitled The Hand. A grade B movie about a severed hand that would kill couples on Lovers Lane. My question to this day is this: why didn't one, just one, of these couples work together to kill this severed hand? This fact tells me volumes about why this a grade B movie. It was so creepy. I can remember the scene of this boney, disgusting hand crawling slowly over the seat toward one of the couple. Creeps me out to this day. I'd be hitting it with my purse. Anything to eradicate that thing.

No, this had nothing to do with the Addams Family. Thus was a much older film probably late 50s or early 60s.

I used to watch scary movies but stopped when Pretty was around 5 years old. Her mom always wanted to watch scary movies and they always gave me nightmares. The night I had a nightmare from watching a scary movie and screamed loud enough to wake neighbors across the street, was the night I stopped watching them.

If they gave me bad dreams like that I'd probably would quit too. I've never had much problem with afterward.

@celticeagle Pretty loves scary movies. She used to want me to sit with her while she watched them... I'd sit on the couch beside her and read my book while she'd slowly slide further and further behind me until she was watching over my shoulder.

Movie making is lucrative business. Movie director and movie producer are coming up more movies for that matter.
