Our war is against the leaders, more specifically, Armed forces of Pakistan. Why would we destroy crops and make the country poorer than it is already? 45 percent of people there live below poverty line. By blocking water, we increase that percentage. From where will those people get food now? Crimes...and terrorism. Can India be immune to drug trafficking? Human trafficking? Arms trafficking? Hijacking? Sabotage? So what is to be achieved by creating more poor by stopping water to Pakistan and destroying their crops? Why should we assume that those poor employed by such criminals will not become terrorists for hire, troubling people in other parts of the world? What fate awaits us just a few years down the lane? Or is it few months down the lane?

@verdana7 It’s always the innocent who suffer most in was. It has always been that way and it’s not likely to change unfortunately.

Politicians are safe. It is general public that pays price. And innocent animals.

@Rimps85 Baglihar dam on Chenab River. It may even prompt Pakistan to try to takeover that region like it took over PoK. Silly move if you ask me. Such vulnerability should not be highlighted.

Thank you Judy for understanding and agreeing. I am labeled as anti national. But when leaders lack foresight, somebody should wake them up. Right?

Agreed. And they can become militants. Because that is where they will get their food for themselves and family. The militants wouldn't have to pay them like the minimum wages. Just enough to buy their loyalty with food like we feed the dogs.

War is never pleasant. But leaders of wars need support. If you can chuck away at the people, they sometimes rise up against their evil leaders. We'll see if that's what happens. But it's also about economics. In order to make war, you have to pay for it. And if you take away resources that provide for that funding, eventually you can't pay for the war anymore. It sucks for the people. But it also sends a clear message to choose your leaders carefully and if you happen to be a country where your leaders are chosen for you... It might be time to grow a pair as a people and say no. We want more. We want better. And we don't like being dictated to. It's like the old saying goes, "If we make our beds, we must sleep in it."
