Another wet morning

Good morning from this side of the planet. It's 8:05 AM as I write this post. It's cold here and another gloomy wet morning. It seems that we had some good rain last night. Well, it would have started after I slept and stopped before I woke up. It has been more than a month I have seen sunrise. I could see it every morning from my terrace on the days the sun actually came out. But from last one month since my surgery I have not been upstairs and not seen it. And also I get up around 6:30 these days. The sun would be out by then. And even husband has not seen it much in the last month because most days have been cloudy and raining. And even when the sun comes out, it comes out in the noon. I miss watching the sunrise. Do you watch sunrise? For those who celebrated Father's Day, I hope you had a good one. Here, girls got some cake for my husband to cut. My elder one drove my husband till the cake shop and yesterday, he was impressed with her driving. So, that was a good Father's day gift. . She gets the practice only when she is here for vacation. Once back to campus, she gets the gap away from car and her driving skills get rusty. Younger one made some yummy paneer rolls for dinner, something that my husband enjoys. This is the picture of art to do with kids I found online. I did something like that with my 2nd grade children last year for Father's Day. Take the hard print of Dad and child, and decorate around with dots using ear buds. Isn't that nice See you in the notifications Stay happy and healthy.

No photo I see We had heavy showers too - non stop. This kind of weather is a first time for me in my life time I really thought the garden would be flooding but thanks to the drainage system we have the water just flows out. That was a good dish with paneer. I add paneer in almost all foods these days.

There is some issue with uploading the image. I tried to edit and add a few times, but the error message keeps coming. I will try to add once more. Paneer is a good source of protein. Especially if you are sure about the quality of it. Fake protein in market has been in news lately. And for someone vegetarian, it is one go to dish. It enhances the taste as well as the nutritional value.

@arunima25 Oh you are also facing the same issue with the image not getting uploaded. Same here. I thought I was uploading a larger and heavier image. But looks like it's some bug.

Just a few days ago, last month, I was like ohhhh this harsh sun... When will it stop shining so brightly that people are falling ill. I didn't want to see him then. But since it started raining here since the 5th or 6th of the last month, I'm like ohhhh sun, please show up. Or we will fall ill... Well, we humans are just like that! Anyway, it has stopped raining for the last week. But there's hardly any sunshine. By the way, I hope you recover fast from your surgery. Never knew this. We talked so casually, that I never realized that.

@arunima25 Since a few years, I too started facing the same issue. I can't bear harsh summer days. It's like my entire energy is drained out. I feel powerless. No enthusiasm for anything. It's impossible to bear even 8 o'clock sun. So summer is a strict no no for me. But I agree with you that anything that's extreme isn't good. Be it even my favorite winter season. I love winters. Yup. The rains did bring down the temperature down. So it was a good change. And highly needed. I can understand that the post surgery time is slightly difficult and one needs to take extra bit of care for that. Get well soon! And no need to say thanks

I will anytime prefer cold gloomy weather over harsh sun if I have no option but to choose one of the either. I have very less tolerance to heat. I fall sick and loose my appetite. Yes, any thing in extreme can get annoying. We love to have the changes. At least you got the temperature down after rain. That can be such a big relief. Thank you for your concern and wishes. I am recovering well. It was a major complicated invasive surgery. So, the path to full recovery will take time.

@abhi_bangal I too enjoy winters. At least you can layer up. Though extreme winter can too get on to your nerves and make you less productive. Well, Bangalore has pleasant weather throughout the year. But then that comes with it's own cons, sicknesses and allergies throughout the year. I am doing good with my recovery.

As a child, I used to like to watch the sun rise out my bedroom window.

Good morning... We have too many trees here to watch the sun rise. Even with no leaves on them in the winter, the trees still block our view of the morning sun. I'm glad your elder daughter is doing well with her driving. Pretty and I stayed home for Father's Day this year... It was quiet and peaceful here. I hope you all have a great day.

Oh! I see. We too have trees in our apartment. There are only few spots in the apartment from where the sunrise can be seen. But we are on top floor penthouse and from terrace we can see it. Quiet and peaceful Father's Day...that sounds good. Hope you both enjoyed it

@arunima25 The East end of our property is lined with large trees. We can go through the trees and see the next neighborhood but I like not seeing them and them not seeing into our yard. We did, thank you.

Thank you. Yes, he was happy for what all the girls did. He adores his daughter and we see a very different side of him when he is with his daughters..all loving, expressive and supportive.

I do not get to see the sunrise most of the time unless just a bit of it through the gap in window shade in bedroom in the morning. I usually sleep later than sunrise, but do get up to go to the bathroom.

Oh! I see. My regular wake up time is around 5_5:10 in the morning. I am a morning lark and I make sure that I take out some time to enjoy the sunrise in mu busy schedule . I get some positive energy and vibe, something that ensures a new hope for a new day.

I think fathers really like it when their children do something a bit special for them.

Yes, they do. He was happy with whatever the girls did. Moms get more appreciation, but Dads have an equally important part to play. They also deserve special treatment from their children.

Lovely post. I rarely see the sunrise....even if I am up at that time I am usually racing around trying to get lots of things done. The weather is lovely here in the UK today .....maybe summer is here at last. Hope you recover well from your surgery.
