Missing my Grandma.

Some days hit harder than others. You go about your routine, then suddenly, something small—an old photo, a familiar song, the way someone laughs—brings it all back. And you realize just how much you miss them. Not just miss… ache. It’s not the kind of missing that a phone call or text could fix. It’s the kind that settles in your chest, quiet but heavy. The kind that reminds you some people leave holes no one else can fill. I grew up with my grandma. She saw and held my kids as well, I am happy she was able to see and hold them. Have you ever missed someone so badly it surprised you, even years later?

My Grandmother and her Sisters raised me. They have all passed away. I have 3 little porcelin heads of Angels playing musical instruments..I have them on the wall in my office. They remind me of my Mema and her Sisters. Mema always said she and her Sisters were the 3 Silly Sisters. I miss all of them. They all taught me so much.

There is no comforting words that can make you feel okay, but I hope you get better after a while and find happiness in things that reminds you of her---missing her but less painful. God bless.

I miss my grandma as well. She passed away a few years ago, but her memories are with me.

We never really get over losing our loved ones. And you're right about the smallest things bringing the memories flooding back.
