Hello so this is the topic for today.
My store was robbed twice and so I am very careful leaving the store and we double our padlock and used thick chains to keep my store secure
One time I forgot to completely lock the store and fortunately no robbers got the chance to steal my printer and other valuables
Until last night I notice a change in one of our pad lock it had a perfect hole on the side and I am sure it is not there before and then I look again you can see it will make unlocking the padlock easy with that hole. Fortunately the robbers are not successful in unlocking it.
Do you know how is it possible that they make a hole in my padlock?

Yes I already report in our community hall. I hope they install a CCTV camera near our home

It is just beside our home. I went to our baranggay hall to see if they have CCTV of our home but she said they don't have CCTV on our area. I will tell my sister to buy burglar alarm

That’s really alarming, and I’m so sorry you’ve had to go through multiple attempts like this. It’s a good thing your padlock held up despite the tampering. That kind of precise hole could mean someone used a drill or a tool to target the locking mechanism directly—sounds like they were definitely prepared.
You might want to look into a lock with anti-drill features or reinforced steel, and maybe even a hidden shackle design to make it harder for them to access in the first place. Adding even just a basic security camera or motion-sensor light could make a huge difference too. Stay safe, and I hope they never come back!

Beside me is my aunts' Store and when I was a kid it was robbed 3 times I think. I can't believe there are people who are not respecting your business and properties. What kind of people are these?

@averygirl72 Unfortunately, some people would rather steal than work hard for a living because they are simply too lazy. To safeguard our properties, we should be on the lookout for these individuals.

I guess they use a hand drill of some sort. I hope you're able to keep them out.

I don’t know the cost of them there, but most businesses here have cameras, even small businesses. They pay for themselves in helping to deter thieves and break-ins.

Before leaving the store I make sure that it is really hard for thieves to get through, didn't expect it would be possible to drill a hole in the padlock

Instead of being paranoid, I just pray that God protects my store at night

That’s really scary! I’m glad nothing was stolen. Consider adding a security camera if you haven’t yet. It can help deter future attempts. Stay safe!
