Too hot yesturday ....I was a wilting flower.....

I wasn't on here yesturday. I really missed posting and even more so the interaction.... I was up early and went shopping with my Mom. Some will be aware that I am not venturing far at the moment and my Mom always shops early due to the fact that there are not many folks about. That suits me too right now. when we got back it seemed like the world and his wife decided to phone us .....friends, family and the hospital, making me yet more appointments. We were in the garden just for a few minutes in the afternoon but had to come inside as it was way too hot for us. We both felt totally done in and had to have a lie down. The brace and support I have to wear on my arm make me feel extra hot too which is not helping in this weather. how do you cope with very hot weather .....

When it's really hot outside, we stay in the house with the AC running. We went shopping yesterday morning, too. I needed to pick up some meds from the pharmacy and we were out of a lot of things for the kitchen. Our new lawnmower also arrived at the Walmart here so we brought it home with us and parked the huge box on the front porch. It was too warm at the time for us to want to bother with putting it together. Later in the afternoon/early evening, when it started cooling down outside, we went out, put the mower together and then watched a stranger mow our yard except right in front of and right behind our car. (He was hired by our older neighbor to mow their yard and he mowed both since both needed it. It was really nice of him.) Pretty couldn't start the new mower, so I started it for her and she finished our yard. I didn't enjoy the "entertainment" (watching strangers at the ER.) I hope you and your mom are doing better today.

Yes, it is not quite so hot today and we are not going anywhere so we can stay indoors with the fan running.

@Traceyjayne That sounds good... I hope you stay comfortable today. As far as I know, we don't have to go anywhere but I did promise Pretty that we could pick up a pizza or McDonalds for supper tonight so she doesn't have as many dishes to wash. (She hates washing dishes but I was told to keep the stitches dry for 7 days so Pretty will have to pick up what I can't do.)

I have learned to take a wet towel with me that I put around my neck, on my shoulders to keep me cool when I'm outdoors working or if I'm out shopping.

I can believe that have the brace, etc, would make you feel hotter.
