Well, I am learning more about the van.

George is full of surprises. He decided he wanted to go to the store today, and decided we needed to fuel the van, too. Rather than get out of the van and do it, himself, he instructed me on how to do it. So I put fuel in the van and my card was successfully charged. He even got it right when he told me how much we spent, too.
We also got some icecream because apparently that's why he wanted to go to the store. It was a smaller haul today because w'd done a larger one Monday. It's hot as hell, but I'll get over it. I'm safely inside now and everything's back to normal. George's watching t.v. and I've flushed his tube twice today. Yes, he asked me to do it before we left.

When you're blind, and can't legally drive, that's a chore you usually never learn to do. But, again.... here we are. And, George saw tap, pay and wait in action. I've done it with vending machines before, so when I did it at the gas station, I knew what to expect.
I was impressed with how George was right about what we were charged. A lot of times, he tells me numbers completely wrong.

I may never be able to drive, but it makes me feel good to do things to help. He seemed surprised, but shouldn't have been. We go to the one where we typically don't have to pre-pay, so, when I tapped to use my card, it acted as if I'd gone in and asked them to turn on the pump.

Have you guys always had a van? Or is this new? I'm going most recent backwards to catch up iwth your posts. So I might be backwards. lol
I've gotta do a grocery shop tomorrow. But itll be a small one, ebcause we had two orders delivered this week already.

When I met George, and about ten years into our relationship we had a ford pickup truck. Before his mom passed, she insisted that he take the van. After driving a van for a while, George decided he liked vans. so when it came time to buy a new one, that's what we did.
