Fairview Township Fire Department answered an emergency call from citizens who witnessed two kittens who were trapped in storm drains on Thursday June 19 in two different parts of the city.
One kitten was trapped in a storm drain located on Salem Road and the other kitten was trapped near a pharmacy near Old York Road.
After the kittens were rescued by the firefighters, they were adopted by strangers at the scene after the kittens were taken care of by getting their wet coats dried after the kittens were inside of the storm drain for a period that is not known.

That is very true that kittens get into trouble.

Citizens did their bit too, and alerted the right authorities, as to try the rescue themselves, they might have gotten themselves into trouble too. It is better to leave such rescues to the experts.

That is authorities people to ask them to rescue animals in need since authority figures are trained for these jobs.

I do not think that the kittens were in the storm drains for that long of a time.

I am in agreement with you that the two kittens found a new home after they were rescued.
