The Beagle Story

I told a fellow Mylotter I would post this story: Back in the late 70s I was living with my daughter in a cute little two bedroom apartment. One evening I had a couple friends over. They have a menagerie of dogs and they had them out in the back of their truck. They had been trained to stay in the back and not get out and run around. We'll, obviously they felt their owners had been gone far too long. They were barking and caring on. The young beagle began baying as only a beagle can. A neighbor took it upon himself, after the baying had gone on for several minutes, to come down and wrap on my door. He thought we were beating the beagle. He was loud and nasty. We introduced him to the beagle and he was able to see the situation after a few minutes. It was so funny. He actually thought we were beating this dear, sweet animal who was just voicing his opinion.
