I went to the doctor this afternoon to have my throat checked. The doctor mentioned that the new COVID variant often comes with a very painful sore throat as one of its symptoms. Just to be sure, I took a COVID test, and thankfully, the result came back negative. She just gave me a pain reliever and of course if symptoms persist, I should go back again.

A few days back the number of COVID patients in our country, but the government took actions and now it is under control..

@rakski Doctor's say the human race will have to coexist with COVID now on. The virus will never cease to exist.

That was actually my case too not long ago. I also had a really painful sore throat, but interestingly, I didn’t have any fever. I didn’t get tested for COVID either, but it was concerning because the pain was unusually sharp—definitely made me wonder. Thankfully, it eventually cleared up on its own. It’s good that you got checked and tested just to be safe. Hope you feel better soon!

Hope your throat gets better quickly and you don't need to see the doctor again. Glad the COVID test came back negative.
