The 4th of July fireworks are being held. . . on the 5th

This is strange. Every year a local town hosts a huge fireworks display over the Toms River. My parents used to take us to the country club to get a view of them. My ex and I could see them from our backyard--at least during the first several years that we lived at the house. (eventually the trees got too tall) My sister lives over on the other side of the river and her family rides bikes to the pier to watch them. Honestly this year they will have a great view of them even from their backyard. I'm in the next town over from where I used to live. I can get a partial view of the fireworks from the landing here. My neighbor and I have sat out there to see them over the past couple of years. What's strange is this year instead of having the display on the actual 4th, a Friday, they are doing them on the 5th. I would love to know the reasoning for that. I mean it is good for Sleazeside, I mean Seaside Heights, because they will have a show on the 4th so more people will head over there to see it on Friday and then go to the river on Saturday. Still I find it odd.

Hmmm... I don't know where to expect/see them for Canada Day (July 1) but I know it'll be noisy and most likely rain the next day (it generally does).
