Ouch. The nerve in my back in pinched, and anyone who’s had it knows that it’s a new adventure in pain. Oh, well, it’ll go away (or it won’t, one of the two). You know something else that won’t go away? This dad-gum country music! The next two songs on the list of “moon” songs are reruns from the 100 favorites lists (which goes to show you why they were on the 100 favorites lists). Let’s start with country and a man whose very name screams “Linda? NO!!!!!” #7: There’s a New Moon Over My Shoulder - Tex Ritter What a dynasty. Tex Ritter was an actor and a western singing star. His wife also played in western movies. His son was a popular actor. He has two grandsons (Tyler and Jason) who are actors. And, as long as the Country Bear Jamboree existed in the Disney theme parks, he was the voice of Big Al!!! There’s a million versions of this song out there (including a ballad rendition on the Jim Reeves album that contained the song I used earlier in the countdown), but I’ve always been particularly fond of Ritter’s version. So here it is, back again, to give you a headache. There’s a New Moon Over My Shoulder Written by Jimmie Davis, Ekko Whelan, and Lee Blastic Recorded by Tex Ritter Released as a single, 1944 So far there’s not a line:

@FourWalls I can't bring myself to go over there. It is 97 degrees F with a real feel of 111.

@FourWalls I wish she would show us a picture of her sitting at the pool, just to give us all an idea of how much fun she is having

I know how much a pinched nerve hurts. I hope you feel better soon. I'm sure you heard about Bobby Sherman. So sad.

Yeah, he announced a couple of months ago. Now we have 81-year-olds leaving us (Mick Ralphs from Bad Company was also 81). The back is thankfully responding well to Tylenol and lidocaine.

@LindaOHio — he’s been going since he was 14. He deserves to retire.

@FourWalls I'm glad your back is a bit better. Now Paul McCartney is retiring. I hope he doesn't kick next.

I can certainly relate to your back pain issues as I listened to this song and got a piercing, shooting pain in my ear which ran down to my neck and then into my shoulder.
