Stuck in Disneyland ....Is Mickey Mouse in charge ..... / myLot

So, my Stepson and his girlfriend have just had two weeks in Disneyland. He had been before but she hadn't. I must admit we ...me and The Mister .... had the chance to go a couple of years ago with the Grandkids, but it just doesn't appeal to either of us. Time off work was also an issue so we didn't go. Anyway, they got to the airport to come home, everything was slow going...they got on the plane, waited, waited, waited....then were told there was a delay. It turned out that they were on the plane for several hours. Then they decided it could not be fixed so they were taken to a hotel for the night.....it was huge and busy and they just wanted to sleep. Not the best end to the holiday. I am guessing he will try and get some compensation.

With the heat across the middle of southern parts of the US, this wasn't a good time to go on vacation there... I really hope they had fun, anyway.

It was for her Birthday, and they alaso met up with some of her family so it had to be at that time. To be honest they usually go to Turkey

@Traceyjayne Oh, I see... I always liked amusement parks but I've never been to Florida. We used to go to those closer to our home. I like being able to drive there, stay a few days and then drive home again. One of our favorite amusement parks is about an hour away from our house. Sometimes we go there just to eat in one of their restaurants and then come home again.

Sorry to learn that your stepson and his girlfriend had to stay overnight due to a flight delay problem.

I’m going to Disneyland in November with my sister (when it is cooler and less busy). Truthfully, it’s not on my list of go to places (I went as a child), but for some reason my sister really wants to take me. She’s been 3 times. Since I just want to spend time with her I said, okay. But our stay will be 4 days.

I remember when flying was a wonderful experience in every sense of the word. The seats had wider spaces between them and the food was delicious. Now not even thin people fit into the seats and the food is the worse there is.
