I read with amusement an article in Politico describing President Trump at the NATO Summit. The NATO Secretary General, Mark Rutte, called Trump "Daddy" at a press conference. Trump continued to embrace that roll, describing Israel and Iran as two kids in a school yard who need to fight it out for a couple of minutes. I think NATO is just glad to have a real leader in charge.

@clrumfelt What does that mean? We've already seen all of his failures and the insurrection attempt during his first term. We've seen the world alienate the US and prices going up with his insane tariffs in just the past 5 months. He is an abject failure.

The economy, NASA, foreign relations, the military, immigration, many other things, but these should give you the idea.

@Ineeddentures I did. Sorry. I don't really know if he is in charge of NASA

It's clear our allies appreciate President Trump's ability to bring peace through strength. There's an adult in the room now. Calling him Daddy is basically an affirmation of that.

@porwest I agree. The people who look at the evidence and make up their own minds instead of just listening to what the talking heads are telling them probably feel a lot more hopeful.

@clrumfelt It was fun to see Marco Rubio's "real" reaction to that too when Trump was asked about it in a press conference. The thing is, Trump's doing the job and the only ones who insinuate he's disliked, or disapproved of, are the media.
Luckily, I think MOST Americans, and even people abroad know what's going on more than what they are being led to believe.

I think people feel more secure now. Daddy Trump is in charge.
