There is a ride called Grand National on Blackpools pleasure beach that is 90 years old.... and made of wood ....
Just wiondering , after all those years is the wood still safe .... would you risk it ...
I am not ....anymore....a theme park ride fan .
I would be the one standing , watching, and holding the coats and looking after the bags.
Each to their own ....The Mister is completely different , he LOVES anything like that.
what do you think ....what sort of person are you ....ride, or no ride .....

I wouldn't go on it
But I would not go on any of them at all
I watched that program with people coming off of rides, getting thrown through the air, and dying

Up until a few years ago, I would have ridden with your hubby... but I've gotten more risk-averse the last few years. I worry about breaking a bone or pulling muscles on amusement park rides now. (Pretty gets mad at me because I won't ride them with her anymore... She'll understand when she starts getting older.)

I used to love theme parks and roller coasters were my favorite. Now that I'm old
rides no longer appeal to me and I'm happy watching others enjoy themselves.
As for the wooden coaster....I think I'd pass

I have enjoyed all sorts of rides, adventurous ones , those long roller coasters etc in my youth. It used to give me thrill. Now. I am not a big fan. I just will go for the easier ones, my back doesn't cooperate anymore.
